A fab weekend
Fun on the Fields 2007 proved a big success, despite some pretty horrible weather conditions....in fact the resultant mud bath made for some glastonbury-esque slipping and sliding, as can be seen from the pics! The young local bands that played on the Saturday were fantastic, particular mention must go to Deluded, who came and rocked it on the Sunday as well, but also to the fab Chimps with lipstick and...well all of them were great! Big Top Mania were hugely popular with young and old and brought a welcome bit of colour to the procedings!Also, Seize the Moment brought some talented artists that worked tirelessly through sun and rain to create an amazing artwork which is displayed in the meadow. Big thanks to them!
As per Woolacombe-norm, the bar was a hit....whatever it was that Mitch put in that punch...we want more in 2008!
Sunday saw some really great local bands performing all day long, finishing with the inimitable Maybe Naked..(we love you!)
The Tug o War was won, finally, by the Red Barn, despite some strained effort from the runners up, The Playdays team....who weren't wearing spiked shoes...honest!! Looking forward to the rematch this year!!
All in all, a great weekend and we at Fun on the Fields are looking forward to creating a similar party this year on the 12th and 13th of July.....
